Welcome Back

The Journey of 2025-2026 Begins

September 10, 2025

Welcome Back!

We are excited to begin another great school year together. At Chehalis School District, our mission is Preparing Students for the Journey Ahead. Every day, we work in partnership with you to ensure that each student has the skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
Thank you for your continued trust and involvement. We look forward to a year of growth, learning, and shared success.

Highlights from Our First Week of School

Our Students Stepped Up For Each Other

Whether it was W.F. West Bearcat leaders making a spirit tunnel for the Class of 2038 Kindergarteners, or classmates welcoming each other after a summer apart, our students stepped up for each other on the first days of school. Our students arrived ready, not just to learn but to be part of something bigger than themselves. At Chehalis Middle School, you may even see students sporting smiley face pins, reminding them of this year's goal of "Smile and Say Hello."

Our Staff Was Ready to Welcome Students

It doesn't matter the age of the students in their building, the first day of school is a big deal for our staff. While students are still on summer break, our staff is back in their buildings learning, planning and building connections so they're ready to welcome our students back. They know that building student achievement starts with a strong foundation where students feel supported and empowered to reach their full potential.

Our Parents Were Ready to Partner With Us

We love seeing parents on the first day of school because their support sets a positive tone for the school year ahead. Parents are essential partners in our student achievement goals, helping us create a strong foundation for their student's learning journey.
